Alex Morgan Visits Catlin Gabel for Commercial Shoot

This morning, April 20, world-class athlete, Alex Morgan, met with the Varsity Girls’ soccer team before she filmed a commercial, the nature of which was not disclosed to CatlinSpeak.

Morgan was the youngest player on the U.S. national team for the 2011 FIFA World Cup and has subsequently played in the 2012 London Olympics. She also plays forward for the Portland Thorns.

Morgan is also a published author. Her series of middle-school books, “The Kicks,” made the New York Times bestseller list. The series is described as an “empowering, fun-filled New York Times bestselling middle grade series about believing in yourself and working as a team,” on her website.

“She was extremely nice especially considering that she started her day at 3:30 a.m. Meeting her was sort of like a dream, I will never forget it!” said Annika Le ‘17, one of the Catlin Gabel soccer players who got to meet Morgan this morning.
