On Tuesday, November 13th, legendary climber and author Fred Beckey will speak at Catlin Gabel.
Beckey began climbing when he was only 13 and at 89 continues to do so. He has climbed in hundreds of places around the world and holds the record for most first ascents by any North American. Additionally, Beckey is the author of multiple books, the most famous being his Cascade Alpine Guide series and his newly released 100 Favorite North American Climbs.
He will share his climbing experiences and show pictures of his trips in Gerlinger at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, November 13th. The talk is open to the public and tickets are $6 at the door.
